Programme Overview

The Integrated Engineering programme at Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech) is a 3-year, full-time undergraduate programme worth 180 ECTS and taught in English. It combines different engineering disciplines with IT, business and process management, product development, design, mechatronics, and digitalisation of production. The programme includes programming, Computer Aided Design (CAD), robotics, and digital manufacturing.

Programme Structure

The curriculum includes general studies in mathematical analysis, entrepreneurship, chemistry, physics, metrology, and measurement engineering; core studies covering robotics, machine automation, programming, materials engineering, and logistics; and special studies in design and integrated engineering. Students can also select free-choice courses and complete a graduation thesis based on an engineering project addressing practical problems.

Practical Learning

Key courses include Digital Manufacturing, Industrial Design Basic, and Robotics. Students can gain practical experience through laboratories and activities such as the TalTech Mektory Satellite programme team, TalTech Robotics Club, and student Formula team FS Team Tallinn. Erasmus+ also provides an opportunity to study abroad for a semester.

Admission Requirements

Applicants must hold a secondary school diploma or equivalent and have at least 60% of the highest possible CGPA. If the secondary education CGPA is below 60%, the requirement may be fulfilled through a higher education qualification with at least 60%, provided the secondary education CGPA is not below 50%. Entry documents are accepted in English or Estonian, with official translations required alongside original documents.

Applicants must provide adequate proof of English proficiency. An English-language qualification may be waived only for applicants meeting the specified IB/EB or fully English-taught education conditions in the listed countries. Admission also includes a proctored online test and an online interview.

Career Opportunities

Graduates can work as product developers, product and design managers, production managers or engineers, software developers, and product owners. The programme also prepares students for continued master’s-level studies in technology and IT.
