The Assistant Pharmacist curriculum is a professional higher education program designed to prepare students for work in general pharmacies, pharmaceutical companies, and health care organizations handling medicines, medical products, and health care products. The program combines contact studies, independent work, e-learning, laboratory practice, pharmacy practical training, field trips, and interdisciplinary studies.
The curriculum focuses on pharmacotherapy, pharmacology, and phytotherapy, with practical studies in areas including chemistry, botany, pharmaceutical technology, and medicine preparation and dispensing. Students also complete 35 ECTS of Pharmacy Practical Training, which can be undertaken in Estonia or other countries.
