What the Program Is

The Applied Mathematics program at the Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS) is a full-time Bachelor of Science degree taught entirely in English. It combines mathematics, computer science, and a specialization in either Business or Engineering. The program develops analytical thinking, mathematical modelling, and programming skills for solving real-world problems in areas such as engineering, business, and economics. Core subjects include calculus, linear algebra, numerical mathematics, optimization, differential equations, probability and statistics, programming, databases, and algorithms, with electives such as Machine Learning, Business Intelligence, and Image Processing.

Study Structure and Requirements

The program takes 7 semesters, including an internship, and starts every year on October 1st. Students choose between Business and Engineering specializations, with the internship taking place during the sixth semester. The program has no tuition fees. Admission follows the general admission requirements of THWS.
