Artificial Intelligence

The Artificial Intelligence programme is a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) full-time undergraduate degree at the University of Passau. The programme has a standard duration of 6 semesters (180 ECTS credits) and starts in the Winter Semester. It is primarily taught in English, with some courses in the first semesters offered in German and English. The programme covers Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science and Data Science, including machine learning, deep learning, neural networks, natural language processing, software engineering, visual computing, data science, and the mathematical, legal and ethical foundations of AI.

Admission and Study Information

Admission is without an NC, but applicants must meet the required higher education entrance qualification and English B2 language requirement. Applicants whose school-leaving certificate was not obtained in an EEA country must also submit an accepted aptitude test, such as SAT 1240, TestAS with an 80 percentile ranking, ACT 25, qualifying JEE results, or CSAT Grade 3 or better.
