The Automation and Industrial Internet of Things program is an international Bachelor of Science degree offered by Mannheim Technical University of Applied Sciences in Mannheim. The program takes 7 semesters and combines Automation Technology, Electrical Engineering, and Information Technology, with a focus on Industrial Internet of Things, IoT, Smart Home, Sensor Networks, and Robotics. The curriculum includes mathematics, physics, computing, electrical engineering, automation technology, motion control, signal processing, programming, and practical industry experience.
The program is bilingual: the first two semesters are taught in English alongside intensive German language training, while from the third semester all technical lectures and examinations are conducted in German. Applicants require a higher education entrance qualification equivalent to the German secondary school leaving certificate. English proof requires IELTS 6.5 overall, TOEFL 88 iBT, or OTE 130. German is not an admission prerequisite, although A2 German is recommended. Admission is without restriction, while the program is accredited according to national standards by Acquin and the Accreditation Foundation Council. Tuition is €1,500 per semester
