Bioeconomy

The Bioeconomy Master of Science (M.Sc.) at Technical University of Munich is a full-time, interdisciplinary program focused on sustainable resource and technology management and the transformation of economic and social systems. The program combines economics, sustainability sciences, engineering, natural sciences, quantitative research methods, modelling, simulation, and optimization. Students can specialize in either Social Sciences and Sustainability or Natural Sciences and Engineering and complete a 120-ECTS degree over four semesters.

The program is primarily taught in English, although individual modules may be offered in German. Applicants must provide proof of sufficient English proficiency. International students from third countries are charged €4,000 per semester in tuition, in addition to the €82 semester contribution stated on the program page. Admission is through an aptitude assessment procedure, and applications are accepted for both the winter and summer semesters.
