The Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Analysis Master’s programme at Vytautas Magnus University prepares highly qualified biotechnology specialists with expertise in biotechnology, pharmaceutical analysis, laboratory diagnostics, and quality control. Students develop practical knowledge of analytical methods, genetic engineering, pharmaceutical and food quality control, sample and raw-material preparation, and molecular laboratory diagnostics.
Students can deepen their knowledge through optional subjects ranging from food technology to the application of natural products in pharmaceuticals and biotechnology. Graduates can pursue careers in industrial pharmaceutical production, biotechnology, diagnostics, research, quality control, quality assurance, administration, and management, as well as continue doctoral studies at Lithuanian or international universities.
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Technology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Genetics, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biophysics, Pharmacy, or another equivalent field of science. A minimum 60% CGPA is required. The admission score is calculated from the Bachelor’s diploma supplement average (40%), English grade (30%), and motivation letter (30%), with a minimum qualifying admission score of 5.4.
