Social Work

The Social Work programme is a college-level bachelor’s programme implemented by the Department of Rehabilitation and Social Welfare of the Faculty of Medicine at Utenos kolegija. The programme awards a Professional Bachelor of Social Sciences qualification as a Social Worker. It focuses on developing professional competencies for social work with individuals, families, groups, communities and society, preparing graduates for employment in social security, education, healthcare, law enforcement, and public, non-governmental or private sectors.

The programme has a duration of 3 years and can be studied full-time or part-time. Studies use a modular and flexible approach, including active learning, practical training, teamwork, reflective practice and distance learning through Moodle. Students complete professional internships in social-service institutions and communities and may undertake study or practice experiences abroad. The application deadline is 15 September and studies start on 1 February. Tuition is €2,224 for both EU and non-EU citizens.
