What the program is

The MSc Adapted Physical Activity at Lithuanian Sports University is designed to prepare specialists in adapted physical activity who can conduct independent research and work as leaders and experts in empowering persons with disabilities to pursue independence, equal rights, equal opportunities, and an active, healthy lifestyle.

Program structure and career opportunities

The program develops competencies in testing and assessing biosocial and social functions, emotions, behavior, and physical capacity in persons with disabilities. Students also study the application of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, social inclusion and equal opportunities, social policy, and strategies for organizing inclusive physical activities through cross-sector collaboration. Graduates can conduct research, continue to third-cycle studies, take on research, management, or expert responsibilities, and work in non-governmental organizations, social protection and education institutions, day-care centers, and socially responsible private institutions. The full-time study duration is 2 years, with tuition of €3,340 for both EU and non-EU citizens.

Admission and language requirements

Applicants must provide proof of English proficiency through one of the accepted qualifications: IELTS Academic 5.5+, TOEFL iBT 46–59, Cambridge English 160+, Pearson PTE Academic 50+, LanguageCert IESOL B2, or Duolingo English Test 90+. Applicants must complete the online application, submit the required foreign qualification recognition document from SKVC, participate in a Zoom interview, and receive a letter of acceptance. A Temporary Residence Permit may also be required.
