The Financial and Actuarial Mathematics Master’s programme at Vilnius University provides high-level education in financial and actuarial mathematics, with a strong theoretical foundation in probability theory, stochastic analysis, risk theory, and related fields. Students learn to understand, analyse, and apply advanced mathematical methods and models used in finance and insurance.
The programme prepares graduates to analyse and solve problems using theoretical models in finance and insurance and implement solutions in practice. Students develop an understanding of the possibilities and limitations of modern financial and actuarial models, tools, and research methods. Graduates can work in insurance companies, banks, pension and investment funds, consulting firms, and government agencies, including roles such as actuaries, financial analysts, risk assessors, and consultants. Doctoral studies in Mathematics and/or Statistics are also available as a further academic pathway.
The programme is 1.5 years full-time. Tuition is €5,641 for EU citizens and €6,000 for non-EU citizens.
