The Marine Engineering programme at Lithuanian Maritime Academy is a four-year full-time college-level Bachelor’s programme leading to a Professional Bachelor of Engineering Sciences in Maritime Engineering. It prepares students for marine and onshore engineering careers involving the operation and maintenance of modern marine engines and energy equipment. The programme combines engineering and shipping technology studies with practical training, including 12 months of mixed practice in workshops and onboard ships, modern engineering simulators, field trips, guest lectures, and cooperation with the maritime industry. Graduates may pursue careers in the maritime sector, including progression toward Chief Engineer, with the qualification of Officer in Charge of an Engine Watch.

Admission requires a certificate of full secondary education, relevant state examination certificates, a valid document demonstrating at least B1 English proficiency through TOEFL, IELTS, LanguageCert IESOL, or another accepted test, and a medical certificate for seagoing studies. Applicants with previous higher education may also need to provide transcripts and diplomas with annexes. The application deadline is 31 July, with studies beginning in October. Tuition is listed as €3,120 for EU citizens and €3,900 for non-EU citizens, while the application fee is €100 and non-refundable.
