The Innovation Governance, Law & Communication doctoral programme at Vilnius University explores how technological and societal transformation can be governed in a trustworthy, ethical, and strategic manner. It integrates law, strategic communication, and innovation management to provide a cross-disciplinary framework for researching how institutions, technologies, and public discourses evolve together.
The programme is designed for highly motivated candidates with a strong academic background and research interests at the intersection of regulation, communication, and innovation ecosystems. Research may cover legal design for innovation acceleration, strategic communication and regulatory narratives, innovation ecosystem resilience, data governance and ethical communication, comparative innovation law and policy, and organisational and legal foresight. Students conduct independent research, participate in doctoral seminars and international projects, and may undertake research and development internships abroad.
The programme is Doctoral Studies (ISCED 8) with 30 ECTS of doctoral-level courses and research training. It awards a Doctoral Degree across the interdisciplinary fields of Law, Management, and Communication and Information.
Full-time doctoral studies last 4 years, while part-time studies last 6 years. Annual tuition is €6,764 for full-time studies and €4,509 for part-time studies. The language of instruction is English.
