The Economics doctoral programme at the Lithuanian Centre For Social Sciences prepares students for advanced academic research in economics. Admission is conducted through an open competition, and eligible applicants must hold a Master’s degree in economics, management, business, or a related field, or an equivalent qualification.
Applicants must submit the required doctoral admission documents, including a completed application form, certified Master’s degree documents, CV, scientific supervisor recommendation-agreement, and scientific publications. If publications are not available, the applicant must provide a research proposal or research paper of up to 30 pages.
English proficiency must be demonstrated through IELTS with at least 6 points, TOEFL with 70–78 points, or a Duolingo certificate indicating B2 English level. The certificate must have been issued within the last 3 years. Applicants whose Bachelor’s or Master’s studies were taught in English do not need to provide an English certificate.
