The Chemistry doctoral programme at Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) offers PhD positions for highly motivated doctoral students pursuing advanced research in chemistry. The programme combines doctoral-level studies, independent research, international academic activities, and preparation and defence of a doctoral dissertation.
The programme includes 30 ECTS of studies, consisting of 3–4 study modules, with 1–2 modules available abroad. Doctoral students conduct research, present their research results at at least two international conferences, and publish at least two scientific publications based on their research. The programme concludes with the preparation and defence of the doctoral dissertation.
Students can benefit from opportunities for a Doctor Europaeus certificate, doctoral research within high-profile research teams, academic mobility and internships abroad, the KTU International PhD Summer School, and entrepreneurial support through “Start up Space.” Lithuanian state scholarships provide €1,406 per month in the first year and €1,628 per month in years 2–4. Additional scholarships and grants are available for excellent results, doctoral studies, research, and academic mobility.
The programme is full-time and lasts 4 year. Tuition is €0 (free) for both EU and non-EU citizens.
