Energetics and Power Engineering-Doctoral at Kaunas University of Technology

What the program is

The Energetics and Power Engineering PhD programme at Kaunas University of Technology is designed for highly motivated doctoral students pursuing advanced research in energetics and power engineering. The programme consists of 30 ECTS of doctoral studies, including 3–4 study modules with the possibility of completing 1–2 modules abroad, research activities, and preparation and defence of a doctoral dissertation.

Research, opportunities and funding

Doctoral students are expected to present their research at at least two international conferences and publish at least two scientific publications. The programme offers doctoral research within high-profile research teams, opportunities for academic mobility and internships abroad, participation in the KTU International PhD Summer School, and the possibility of obtaining a Doctor Europaeus certificate. Funding includes Lithuanian state scholarships of €1,406/month in the first year and €1,628/month in years 2–4, plus additional scholarships and grants for doctoral research and academic mobility.
