The Informatics Engineering PhD programme at Kaunas University of Technology is designed for highly motivated doctoral students pursuing advanced research in informatics engineering. The programme consists of 30 ECTS of doctoral studies, including 3–4 study modules with the possibility of completing 1–2 modules abroad, research activities, and preparation and defence of a doctoral dissertation.
Doctoral students are expected to present their research at at least two international conferences and publish at least two scientific publications. The programme offers a Double Degree programme with the University of Bologna, Italy, Doctor Europaeus certificate possibilities, research within high-profile teams, academic mobility and internships abroad, and participation in the KTU International PhD Summer School. State scholarships provide €1,406/month in the first year and €1,628/month in years 2–4, with additional scholarships and grants for research and academic mobility.
