The Measurement Engineering PhD programme at Kaunas University of Technology is designed for highly motivated doctoral students pursuing advanced research in measurement engineering. The programme consists of 30 ECTS of doctoral studies, including 3–4 study modules with the possibility of completing 1–2 modules abroad, research activities, and preparation and defence of a doctoral dissertation.
Doctoral students are expected to present research results at at least two international conferences and publish at least two scientific publications. The programme offers a Double Degree programme with the University of Bologna, Italy, as well as the possibility to pursue scientific research at The Welding Institute (UK) for a period of 3 years. Students can also benefit from high-profile research teams, academic mobility, internships abroad, the KTU International PhD Summer School, and the possibility of obtaining a Doctor Europaeus certificate. State scholarships provide €1,406/month in the first year and €1,628/month in years 2–4, with additional scholarships and grants available.
Tuition is €0 (free) for both EU and non-EU citizens.
