The Design for Sustainable Future Master’s programme at Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) prepares students to address sustainability challenges through design research, eco-design, future thinking, innovation management, and circular design. Developed with international partners including Politecnico di Milano and The Critical, the programme combines international design expertise with practical learning in modern creative spaces. Students work on real projects, collaborate with organisations, and explore circular design pathways while developing creative thinking, research, teamwork, and strategic problem-solving skills.

Study and Admission Information

The programme combines design, sustainability, management, and environmental engineering through project-based learning. Students gain knowledge of eco-design, circular design, future thinking, innovation management, and entrepreneurship, alongside practical skills in parametric modelling, prototyping, design research, and sustainable project development. The programme is a 2-year full-time Master’s degree with tuition of €7,116 per year for both EU and non-EU citizens. The start date is September 1, with an Autumn Intake deadline of June 1, 2026. Applicants generally need a relevant Bachelor’s degree, with design applicants required to have a good average grade (minimum CGPA >60%). English proficiency requires IELTS ≥ 6.0, TOEFL ≥ 85, CEFR ≥ C1, or previously completed studies in English.
