The Development Economics and Globalisation specialisation explores economic and policy challenges in developing countries, including poverty, healthcare, education, migration, inequality, social norms, industrial growth, and foreign aid. Students use microeconomic theory, empirical analysis, real-world data, and rigorous research methods to examine development issues at household, firm, and national levels, as well as the effects of globalisation on trade, capital flows, labour, and environmental standards.
