The Liberal Arts and Sciences bachelor’s programme at Tilburg University is an interdisciplinary, English-taught programme that explores complex global and contemporary societal issues from multiple academic perspectives. The programme uses interdisciplinary teaching and focuses on scientific reasoning, critical thinking, creative problem-solving, presentation skills, and academic development through small-scale education.

Programme Details

The programme takes 3 years to complete and comprises 180 ECTS credits. Students can choose from three majors: Interdisciplinary Social Sciences, Cognitive Neuroscience and Behavior, or Law, Politics, and Culture. The programme is accredited by NVAO. For 2026/2027, tuition is €2,694 per year for EU/EEA students and €16,100 per year for Non-EU/EEA students.

Admission and Intake

The listed English-language requirements include Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English C1, Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English C2, IELTS overall band 6 with at least 5.5 in listening, reading, writing, and speaking, or TOEFL internet-based 80. The next listed intake starts September 1, 2027, with an application deadline of June 15, 2027 for EU/EEA applicants and May 1, 2027 for Non-EU/EEA applicants.
