The Cultural Leadership Master’s programme at the University of Groningen is a two-year Research Master focused on academic research into cultural leadership and the role of culture in society. It examines how cultural practices connect the arts with societal debates in local, national, and transnational contexts, including topics such as digitization and new media, cultural diversity, changing audiences, and economic circumstances.
The programme is taught in English and leads to a Master of Arts degree over two years, comprising 120 ECTS credits. It develops scholarly, analytical, and strategic skills for understanding and conducting research into cultural leadership.
