The Computing Science bachelor’s programme at the University of Groningen focuses on designing, building, and improving computer systems for real-world applications. Students develop high-level programming skills while studying mathematics, algorithms, computational models, software development, data analysis, and computational thinking.
This is a 3-year, 180-ECTS Bachelor of Science programme taught in English. The programme combines theoretical and practical learning with applications such as secure mobile apps, route optimisation, software systems, and 3D medical imaging from MRI scans. Students also develop teamwork, technical communication, system development, and interdisciplinary problem-solving skills. The programme is accredited by NVAO.
