Energy & Power Electronics

The Energy & Power Electronics specialisation at Hanze University of Applied Sciences focuses on technologies for a more sustainable, flexible and intelligent energy system. Students learn about transporting, converting and storing energy, regulating supply and demand, and designing technologies such as drive systems and electric motors for applications including solar cars. The programme is developed jointly with the business community and provides elective choices during the first two years before students specialise in the third year.

Programme Structure and Opportunities

The specialisation is part of the Electrical Engineering programme and is offered alongside Mechatronics and Sensors & Smart Systems specialisations. The four-year programme comprises 240 ECTS credits and is taught in English. It prepares students for work involving energy-transition technology, moving systems and smart electronics.
