Job Description

Grenoble INP – Phelma, UGA is seeking an Expert in Innovation Pedagogy and AI (M/F) to support educational content development, continuing professional education, AI-related administrative initiatives, and the training of trainers and administrators. The role is part of the AI research engineering pool and its training component.

The position involves developing and adapting AI teaching materials, supporting teacher-researchers with pedagogical engineering, creating technical educational resources such as videos, podcasts, interactive notebooks, MOOCs and prototypes, and integrating content into platforms including Moodle, FUN and GitLab. The engineer will also facilitate AI training for professionals, advise on relevant training solutions, develop administrative AI use cases, and contribute to AI training in research and education.

Additional responsibilities include supporting MIAI Cluster educational events, participating in its AI Engineering pool meetings, reporting regularly, measuring teaching effectiveness, and maintaining scientific, technological and educational monitoring in AI. The successful candidate will work at the Scientific Peninsula – Saint Martin d’Hères Campus. Travel between MIAI Cluster sites and potentially elsewhere in France may be required.

Requirements

  • Very good knowledge of artificial intelligence, including machine learning, deep learning and data science.
  • Proficiency in Python and major AI libraries such as TensorFlow, Keras and PyTorch.
  • Knowledge of instructional design and educational sciences is desired.
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools including Git, CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes and cloud computing.
  • Knowledge of how higher education works.
  • Good general knowledge of digital technology, innovation and educational technologies.
  • Ability to design a training course or educational module.
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts.
  • Ability to produce multimedia educational materials.
  • Ability to carry out a mini-project involving planning, coordination and evaluation.
  • Ability to write structured and clear documents.
  • Ability to self-train and conduct scientific monitoring.
  • Strong interest in teaching, knowledge transmission and popularization.
  • Critical thinking, methodological rigor and intellectual curiosity.
  • Adaptability and ability to prioritize several simultaneous missions.
  • Sense of service and teamwork.
  • Autonomy, responsiveness and ability to organize work.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Rigor, reliability and respect for deadlines.
  • Experience in the public sector would be appreciated.
  • Hold a Doctorate, Engineering degree or Master 2.
