Job Description

Amdocs is looking for a Software Engineer for its Denmark–Copenhagen customer site. The role is responsible for the design, development, modification, debugging, and maintenance of software systems within the Amdocs Ensemble ecosystem.

The position involves developing and supporting applications across Ensemble modules including MAF/MPS, Billing, Accounts Receivable (AR), Tuxedo, and Customer Service Management (CSM). The successful candidate will analyze business requirements, develop technical solutions, troubleshoot and optimize C/C++ code, and work with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL. The role also includes Linux Shell scripting, database development, software and code reviews, testing, production support, CI/CD processes, root cause analysis, and collaboration with architects, business analysts, QA engineers, and operations teams.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, along with 3+ years of experience. Strong C/C++, Oracle SQL/PL/SQL, Linux/Unix, and Shell/Bash scripting skills are required. Experience with Ensemble modules, PowerBuilder, Perforce, Jenkins, CI/CD, DevOps practices, and telecommunications is also specified.

The position requires minimal travel and is non-managerial.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience
  • Strong knowledge of Ensemble modules such as MAF/MPS, Billing, Accounts Receivable (AR), Tuxedo, and Customer Service Management (CSM) preferred
  • Strong programming experience in C/C++
  • Solid experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development
  • Knowledge of PowerBuilder is an advantage
  • Experience working in Linux/Unix environments
  • Strong scripting skills using Shell/Bash scripting
  • Familiarity with CI/CD methodologies, tools, and DevOps practices
  • Experience using Perforce for source code management
  • Experience with Jenkins for build automation and deployment pipelines
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within global teams
  • Experience in the telecommunications domain is a strong advantage
  • Experience supporting telecom billing and customer management platforms
  • Exposure to Agile development methodologies
  • Knowledge of system integration and application performance tuning
  • Experience working in enterprise-scale production environments
