The Bachelor of Business Systems Management at Alma Mater Europaea University (AMEU) is a three-year, first-cycle professional undergraduate programme delivered in Maribor, Slovenia. The programme consists of six semesters and 180 ECTS credits and is offered through part-time, in-person study. It provides interdisciplinary education in business management, organisational leadership, economics, finance, commercial law, information technology, and business process development. Students develop the knowledge and analytical skills required to understand organisational systems, evaluate business operations, and support effective managerial decision-making.
The curriculum integrates strategic management, business informatics, systems analysis, corporate finance, economics, taxation, commercial and labour law, quality engineering, marketing, business communication, and leadership psychology. Students learn to analyse organisational structures, identify business risks, improve operational efficiency, and formulate practical solutions to management challenges. Elective subjects include entrepreneurship, career development, business anthropology, personal finance, insurance, online marketing, and e-commerce. Students may also select the Family Entrepreneurship module, which explores family business management, succession, financial planning, and entrepreneurship.
Practical learning is a significant component of the programme. Students complete 240 hours of practical training in the first year and an additional 240 hours in the second year, totalling 480 hours or 12 weeks. Students independently arrange suitable placements in organisations where they can apply their business and management knowledge. Project assignments during the first two years further develop analytical reasoning, teamwork, problem-solving, and professional communication skills.
Graduates are prepared for professional opportunities in business administration, organisational management, project coordination, business consulting, marketing, quality management, and business process development. Their interdisciplinary knowledge is applicable in private companies, public institutions, municipalities, agencies, educational organisations, and research and development projects. The programme also supports entrepreneurship and participation in family business management.
The detailed programme information states a tuition fee of €3,400, while the initial programme summary lists €5,500 per year for the 2025/2026 academic year. These figures conflict, and the applicable tuition must be confirmed before publication. Applicants may qualify through the general matura, vocational matura, or an eligible four-year secondary school programme completed before 1 June 1995.
