Description:
The Architecture programme is a full-time, second-cycle study programme offered by the Faculty of Architecture and Design at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. Taught in English, the programme has a standard duration of two years and awards the academic degree inžinier architekt (Ing. arch.). It focuses on architecture and urbanism, combining architectural design with technical, historical, cultural, social, economic and environmental perspectives.
Students develop the ability to design buildings, interiors, urban spaces and landscape-related projects while coordinating aesthetic, technical, constructional, economic, ecological and social requirements. The programme also covers project documentation, urban planning, building reconstruction, monument restoration, construction supervision and team coordination. Graduates are prepared for professional roles in architectural and construction design, urban planning, interior design, public administration, development, creative industries, education and related technical consultancy. The programme’s planned capacity is 20 students for each of the 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 academic years. Professional registration as an authorised architect in Slovakia requires relevant professional practice and successful completion of the required authorisation examination.
