Job Description

MaiaSpace is recruiting a Contract Manager for a full-time position in La Défense, France. The role is part of the Procurement team and involves managing procurement and contractual activities in collaboration with Development, Production, Industrialization, Quality, Finance, Legal, and supplier teams.

The position covers the full contract lifecycle, from supplier sourcing and RFI/RFQ phases through negotiation, contractualization, execution, discrepancy management, claims support, renewal or closure, and contract archiving. Responsibilities also include monitoring milestones, deliverables and acceptance, supplier payments, warranties, production planning, and supplier performance.

Within the procurement team, the Contract Manager will contribute to supplier economic and financial analysis, KPI-based performance management, supply-chain optimization, sourcing strategy, spare-parts policy, and obsolescence management. The role requires a Bac+5 degree and at least three years of experience in contract management, purchasing/procurement, or complex contract management. Professional French and English proficiency is required.

Experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, energy, or other complex industries is appreciated.

Requirements

  • Higher education degree (Bac+5) in engineering, business, university or equivalent, with specialization or significant experience in purchasing, supply chain, contract management or an industrial environment.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in Contract Management, purchasing/procurement or complex contract management.
  • Knowledge of the different stages of the contract lifecycle.
  • Skills in commercial and contractual negotiation, risk analysis, costs and supplier performance.
  • Ability to collaborate with technical, production, industrialization, quality, finance, legal and supplier teams.
  • Ability to work independently, structure topics, prioritize and be proactive.
  • Analytical skills, rigor and results-oriented approach.
  • Good communication skills and ability to explain complex contractual topics to non-specialists.
  • Professional proficiency in French and English, written and spoken.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, energy or other complex industries is appreciated.
