Evolution is hiring an experienced Game Mathematician for its NetEnt Game Studio in Stockholm, Sweden. This full-time, 100% on-site role combines mathematical modelling, programming, and game design to develop game concepts and prototypes.
The ideal candidate has experience in the gaming or iGaming industry, has contributed to successfully launched games, and has a genuine interest in board games, computer games, card games, or role-playing games.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to game concept development from mathematical and game-design perspectives, working with game teams and Product Owners.
Improve creative processes used in game concept development.
Collaborate with Product Owners and game teams to build games.
Implement algorithms to solve statistical and combinatorial problems.
Develop and implement game logic.
Explore optimisation methods and new techniques to solve existing challenges.
Learn new technologies and continuously develop professional skills.
Qualifications and Skills
Gaming industry experience as a designer or in an equivalent role, with experience working on recognisable game titles.
University degree in Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or an equivalent qualification.
Proficiency in a programming language and understanding of programming paradigms, including object-oriented programming and functional programming.
Strong mathematical intuition.
Fluency in written and spoken English.
Creative, innovative, and collaborative approach.
Ability to understand and solve abstract and complex problems.
Attention to detail and willingness to receive feedback and improve work.
Active interest in gaming and understanding how mathematical models influence player behaviour.
Java programming experience is a strong advantage.

Requirements
Gaming industry experience as a designer or equivalent, including work on recognisable game titles; degree in Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent; proficiency in a programming language; understanding of OOP and functional programming; strong mathematical intuition; fluent written and spoken English; creative problem-solving, attention to detail, teamwork, and openness to feedback. Java experience is a strong plus.
