Job Description

Dynamic Optics srl is seeking a Real Time Software Engineer for a full-time position based in Padua, Italy. The role focuses on the design, development, testing, documentation, debugging, and continuous improvement of software components for complex control systems.

The successful candidate will develop and optimise C++ software in Windows and Linux environments, collaborate with Engineering and R&D teams on technical solutions, perform technical audits and performance testing, manage code versioning with tools such as Git, and prepare technical documentation including reports, manuals, accounting, and presentations. The role also includes planning activities with department and project managers, supporting project effort and cost estimates, and participating in training and professional development.

Required skills include intermediate to high-level C++ programming, proficiency in Windows and Python, and experience with Git. Knowledge of Docker, control algorithms such as PID, low-level C++, and real-time operating systems is listed as advantageous, while familiarity with neural-network optimisation and deployment frameworks such as TensorRT is a further advantage.

A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent qualification with relevant professional experience is required. Good written and spoken English is also required. Smart working options are available, with occasional travel of less than 5% of the time.

The stated salary is €30,000–€50,000 per year.
