Job Description
Redon Town Hall is recruiting a Road Maintenance Worker – Heavy Equipment Operator for a one-year fixed-term contract. Working under the supervision of the department head, the successful candidate will operate various construction and road maintenance equipment, including backhoe loaders, flail mowers, heavy goods vehicles, mini-compactors, and mini-excavators.
The role includes preparing and carrying out municipal road maintenance work such as earthworks, network work, road and sidewalk repairs, asphalt paving, ditch clearing, and culvert installation. The position also involves maintaining vehicles and equipment, setting up police, detour and construction-site signage, and occasionally supporting other municipal services.
Candidates must hold B and C driving licences, with EC preferred, as well as CACES R482 categories A and C1, with F preferred. Technical knowledge of road construction, temporary construction-site signage, and safety instructions is required. Applicants should be organized, punctual, responsible, able to follow instructions, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
The position is available as soon as possible, with a 35-hour weekly schedule, or 39 hours with RTT. Exceptional operations may require additional availability.
Requirements
- Driving licences B and C required
