American Studies

The Bachelor of Arts in American Studies is a full-time undergraduate program based in Frankfurt am Main, with a standard duration of 6 semesters. The program focuses on American Research, American Studies, American Literature, American Language, American History, and American Culture. It can be studied as either a major or minor subject and is offered in both the Summer and Winter Semesters.

Study Structure and Admission

The program has no admission restriction, but applicants must demonstrate English proficiency at B2 level according to the CEFR in addition to the higher education entrance qualification. English proficiency can be demonstrated by passing the English test conducted by the Institute for English and American Studies twice a year, through the grade achieved in the higher education entrance qualification, or through another standardized English test.
