American Studies

The Bachelor of Arts in American Studies is a full-time undergraduate program based in Regensburg, with a standard duration of 6 semesters. The program covers English Studies, American Studies, and Linguistics, with a focus on American cultural memory, early American studies, American drama and theatre, German-American relations, American visual culture studies, and performance studies. American Studies forms part of a combined Bachelor’s degree in which students combine two or three subjects.

Study Structure and Admission

The program is offered in the Summer and Winter Semesters and has no admission restriction. Students are recommended to have English language skills of at least B2 CEFR across all language skills and C1 CEFR in receptive language skills at the beginning of their studies.
