Applied Computer Science

The Master of Science in Applied Computer Science at the University of Applied Sciences Schmalkalden is a graduate program focused on Applied Computer Science and Computer Science. The program is taught in English and has a standard study period of 4 semesters. Admission is available for the winter semester only and is without admission restriction.

Applicants are expected to hold an outstanding bachelor’s degree, German diploma degree, or equivalent qualification in informatics or a related field, generally with a grade better than 2.5. Non-native English speakers must provide proof of English proficiency, such as TOEFL 550 (paper-based), 213 (computer-based), or 79 (internet-based); other language scores may also be considered. The application period for the winter semester 2026/2027 is from February 1, to April 15, for German, EU, and non-EU applicants.
