The Architecture programme is a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) full-time degree at Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI), with a standard duration of 9 semesters and study location at the Neuburg campus. The programme focuses on sustainable architecture, integral design, circular and sustainable building, human-centred design, redevelopment of existing properties, digital tools and BIM, as well as interdisciplinary collaboration. The bilingual programme starts in English and gradually integrates German.
The programme is available in the Summer and Winter Semesters and uses a selection procedure with an aptitude assessment. Applicants must submit three of their own works, selected by themselves; no tests or interviews requiring personal attendance are specified. No prior German knowledge is required for admission, although A1 German is recommended. Students must demonstrate A2 German by the end of the 2nd semester and B2 by the end of the 5th semester. From the 5th semester onwards, most courses are taught in German. Tuition for applicants from outside the EU/EEC is €800 per semester.
