The Architecture Master’s programme at Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) combines creative architectural design with engineering, sustainability, cultural awareness, and digital technologies. Students develop the skills to design buildings, urban spaces, and landscapes through practical projects, collaboration with civil engineering students, and industry-connected learning.
The programme covers architectural design, urban planning, sustainability, heritage, building structures, computer-aided design, BIM, digital modelling, visualisation, GIS, and virtual reality. Students also complete joint projects and a professional internship, with electives including parametric architecture, heritage management, urban data analytics, modular construction, and virtual reality. Graduates can pursue careers in architectural design, urban planning, and landscape architecture, or continue to advanced architecture and spatial design studies. The KTU Diploma in Architecture is stated to be recognised across the European Union.
Applicants need a high school certificate, with a maximum of three years since high school graduation, a minimum average grade above 60% in each entry subject, and a relevant portfolio. English proficiency of IELTS 5.5+, TOEFL 75+, CEFR B2, or equivalent is required.
