What the program is

The Audiovisual Arts and Media Studies doctoral programme at Tallinn University’s Baltic Film, Media and Arts School offers two study pathways: practice-based doctoral research in audiovisual arts and empirical research in media studies. The programme focuses on contemporary media and audiovisual culture, media content and production, digital culture, and transformations and innovation in media and the arts. Admission and study information

The programme is a full-time PhD programme with a nominal duration of 4 years (240 ECTS) and is taught in English. Applicants must hold a Master’s degree or equivalent qualification and are expected to have achieved at least 60% of the possible maximum results in both Bachelor’s and Master’s studies. English proficiency can be demonstrated through IELTS Academic 6.0
