The Automation and Robotics program is a full-time Bachelor of Engineering degree offered by Hochschule für angewandte Wissenschaften Coburg in Coburg. The program takes 8 semesters and focuses on Automation Technology, Electronics, Information Technology, Sensor and Measurement Technology, Robotics, and Artificial Intelligence. Key areas include industrial automation, smart systems, advanced control, sensor technology, machine vision, Python software development, data analysis, motion control, and industrial computer vision. The program includes a 20-week industrial internship and a Bachelor thesis.
The program is taught in English and German. Applicants require a university entrance qualification or equivalent qualification, while international applicants require a certificate assessment such as an APS certificate, VPD from uni-assist, or ZAB evaluation. English proficiency at B2 level is required; an official confirmation that a previous Bachelor’s program was taught in English can replace the language test. The program starts in the Winter Semester, with studies beginning on October 1. The first semester is taught exclusively online, while from the second semester students study in person. Tuition for international students from non-EU countries is €1,500 per semester, in addition to the current semester fee.
