The Bachelor of Arts in English Linguistics at the University of Regensburg is a 6-semester undergraduate programme offered in full-time format. The programme is available in both the Summer and Winter Semesters and covers English Studies, American Studies, and Linguistics, with a focus on varieties of English as a world language, language variation and change, sociolinguistics, and corpus linguistics. It forms part of a combined Bachelor’s degree in which two or three subjects are studied. Admission is without restriction and the programme is taught mainly in English, with German as a further language.
Students are strongly recommended to have English language skills at B2 level for all language skills and C1 level for receptive language skills at the beginning of the programme. Student advice before starting the degree is also strongly recommended.
