Biomedical Sciences

The Biomedical Sciences program at the University of Magdeburg is a 6-semester Bachelor of Science program in Magdeburg, offered on a full-time or part-time basis. The program focuses on understanding complex biological processes in humans and animals from the molecular level to the whole organism. It combines Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, and Physiology, with specialisations in Neurosciences, Immunology, Neuroimmunology, Molecular Biology, and Quantitative Biology. The program is taught in English and develops skills for research and medical applications involving complex biological systems.

Admission and Costs

Admission is available for the winter semester only and is subject to local admission restrictions. Applicants need a general or subject-specific higher education entrance qualification or comparable foreign qualification, together with an aptitude test. English language skills are mandatory and must be demonstrated through a German higher education entrance qualification or a language certificate at B2 level.
