The Chemical Engineering PhD programme at Kaunas University of Technology is designed for highly motivated doctoral students pursuing advanced research in chemical engineering. The programme consists of 30 ECTS of doctoral studies, including 3–4 study modules with the opportunity to complete 1–2 modules abroad, research activities, and preparation and defence of a doctoral dissertation.
Doctoral students are expected to present research results at at least two international conferences and publish at least two scientific publications. International opportunities include Double Degree programmes with the Technical University of Košice, Slovakia, and the University of Bologna, Italy, as well as academic mobility and internships abroad. Students may also pursue a Doctor Europaeus certificate and participate in the KTU International PhD Summer School. State scholarships provide €1,406/month in the first year and €1,628/month in years 2–4, with additional scholarships and research and mobility grants available.
Tuition is €0 per year (free/state-funded) for both EU and non-EU citizens.
