The Child Welfare and Social Security program is a Professional Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences designed to prepare qualified social work professionals for careers in child welfare and social security. The program develops knowledge and professional skills for assessing the social assistance needs of children and families, administering social assistance, applying social work methods in accordance with national and international regulations and professional ethics, and conducting practice-oriented empirical research. Students are also prepared to develop and implement prevention programs and projects within social service organizations and contribute to child welfare policy development.

The full-time program is completed in 3 years and comprises 180 credits. The program is conducted only in the Lithuanian language and grants a Professional Bachelor in Social Sciences. Tuition is €3,000 per year for both EU and non-EU citizens. The application deadline is 30 April, and studies start on 1 September.
