What the program is

The Civil Engineering doctoral programme at Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) offers PhD positions with scholarships for highly motivated doctoral students pursuing advanced research in civil engineering. The programme combines doctoral studies, independent research, international academic activities, and preparation and defence of a doctoral dissertation.

Programme structure and research

The programme includes 30 ECTS of studies, consisting of 3–4 study modules, with 1–2 study modules abroad. Doctoral students conduct research, present research results at at least two international conferences, and publish at least two scientific publications based on their research. The programme concludes with preparation and defence of the doctoral dissertation.

Scholarships, tuition and intake

Lithuanian state scholarships provide €1,406 per month in the first year and €1,628 per month in years 2–4. Additional scholarships and grants may be available for excellent results, doctoral studies, research, and academic mobility. Tuition is €0 (free) per year for both EU and non-EU citizens.
