About the Program

The Master’s program in Clinical Health Psychology at Lithuanian University of Health Sciences prepares competent psychologists with knowledge and practical skills in health promotion, rehabilitation, psychological counselling, and psychological evaluation. Students develop the ability to support people with various health disorders through psychological methods and procedures while improving communication and collaboration with other healthcare specialists. The program offers five specialization options: Onco-psychology, Neuropsychology, Children and Family Psychology, Rehabilitation Psychology, and Addiction Psychology.

Program Structure and Career Opportunities

The full-time program lasts 2 years. The first year covers behavior, stress and health, psychological counselling, clinical psychological evaluation, research, psychotherapy and psychopharmacotherapy, specialization studies, and mental health project management. The second year includes an internship and Master’s thesis. Graduates can work as psychologists or in supervised practice according to national requirements, pursue research roles, work in health, social, educational and organizational sectors, participate in projects, or continue to doctoral studies. The degree is recognized in the EU and the program is prepared according to EuroPsy requirements. Students can also undertake internships abroad and participate in Erasmus+ exchange opportunities.
