The Composition master’s programme prepares highly qualified composers in academic composition or digital technologies, including electronic music. Students develop advanced knowledge of composition theory and practice, artistic research, instrumentation, electronic music, and computer-based music creation.
Students develop the ability to professionally create and implement instrumental and electronic music projects while continuously improving their artistic practice and working independently. The programme includes study-field modules, preparation for doctoral studies, and a master’s project consisting of a creative or artistic project and research paper.
The programme offers specializations in Academic Composition and Digital Technologies. Graduates can work in cultural institutions, music education, science, concert organisations, the music and culture industries, advertising, sound recording, creative organisations, and artistic research. They can also participate in art projects and undertake professional work requiring advanced composer competencies.
