The Cosmetology programme is a Bachelor’s-level college study programme implemented by the Department of Rehabilitation and Social Welfare of the Faculty of Medicine at Utenos kolegija. The programme awards a Professional Bachelor of Health Sciences and prepares students to assess skin and its appendages, develop individual cosmetological care plans, perform cosmetic procedures, select appropriate products, materials and equipment, organise beauty-service businesses, and conduct applied research in cosmetology. Students gain practical experience at the College’s Cosmetology Centre and through placements in beauty and SPA salons and centres, with opportunities for professional competitions and study or practice abroad.
The programme is available as full-time studies lasting 3 years or part-time studies lasting 4 years. Graduates can work in cosmetic parlours, beauty salons, wellness and SPA centres, film and photo studios, cosmetic shops and cosmetology businesses, or establish specialised individual companies and work as make-up artists or consultants. Graduates may also continue studies in health and social sciences at Lithuanian or foreign higher education institutions after additional studies. The programme starts on 1 February, with an application deadline of 15 September. Tuition is €1,980 for EU citizens and €3,005 for non-EU citizens.
