What the program is

Curatorial Studies at the University of Groningen is a practice-oriented component of the one-year MA track in Art History. The programme provides selected students with the opportunity to develop practical experience in exhibition-making and institutional work through a four-month curatorial internship carried out in collaboration with museums, galleries, and other cultural institutions.

Study structure and requirements

The programme is taught in English, awards a Master of Arts, and has a duration of 1 year with 60 ECTS credits. Curatorial Studies cannot be applied for separately. Applicants must apply to the MA Art History track within MA Arts & Culture and can express their interest in the curatorial track during their studies. Tuition for 2026/2027 is €2,694 for EU/EEA students, €19,900 for non-EU/EEA students, and €16,900 at the institutional rate.
