The Engineering Science programme is an internationally oriented, full-time Bachelor of Science degree with a dual, practice-integrated study structure comprising 7 semesters in Hamburg. It combines Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, and Materials Science, with focus areas including Computer Engineering, International Production Management, Structural Engineering, and Process Engineering. The dual study programme has been offered at TU Hamburg since 2003 and integrates academic study with practical experience at cooperating companies.

Language, Admission & Fees

The programme has local admission restrictions and is offered in the Winter Semester only. English is the main language of instruction, with German as a further language. Applicants require a university entrance qualification, English proficiency equivalent to TOEFL 577/90 or IELTS 6.5, and German proficiency. German B1 is required during the application process, while DSH-1 or TestDaF with no individual mark below 3 is required for enrolment after admission. Tuition fees are not charged, but a semester contribution of EUR 340 applies.
