The Bachelor of Arts in English: Linguistics, Literatures and Cultures at Saarland University is a 6-semester undergraduate programme offered in both part-time and full-time formats. It is available in the Summer and Winter Semesters and focuses on Literature and Cultural Studies, Cultural Studies, Linguistics, and Language Practice. The programme can be studied as a main or subsidiary subject within a dual-subject Bachelor’s degree. The extended major includes a professional qualification component for developing key professional skills.
Admission is without restriction. Applicants are required to have English proficiency at B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) at the beginning of the programme. A compulsory stay abroad is required for 6 months, or 3 months when studying the programme as a minor subject. The main language of instruction is English.
