What the program is

The English Studies (Linguistics) Master’s programme at Vilnius University provides an in-depth foundation in contemporary trends in linguistics and linguistic and cross-linguistic research methods. The programme focuses on developing autonomous linguists who can creatively address language-use issues and apply their linguistic knowledge in research and teaching.

Study focus and career opportunities

Students develop competencies for academic research and teaching as well as practical language-related careers. Graduates can work in higher education research and teaching, or pursue careers in editing, translation, lexicographic practice, proofreading, and publishing.

Tuition

The programme is 2 years full-time. Tuition is €5,815 for both EU and non-EU citizens. Students from the EU/EEA, Lithuanian nationals residing abroad, and people of Lithuanian origin can apply for a state-funded study place.
